Speed working but NOT cadence

Hi all
the sensor used to pick up my cadence but for some reason it doesnt anymore while it STILL picks up speed.
I have tried multiple thing including switching off GPS but it only picks up speed without cadence.
Any advice much appreciated!

Obvious question, but have you checked the position of the magnets?

Do you see a red light flashing when you move the crank past the sensor?

should the red light flash every time the crank passes the sensor? it which case, it does not.
it does flash periodically tho...

The light will flash for 40 to 50 times after the button is pressed. I should flash every pass. If it doesn't try getting the magnet closer to the line on the body of the sensor.
