Magnetless Speed Sensor on track bike

The hubs on my track bike are quite thin and find that the speed sensor does not fit very tightly around it. It can be moved with a little bit of hand pressure and I fear that it may move around when in use at fast speeds. Does anyone else has this problem and is there a workaround available?

I am also wondering if the steep 45 deg banking on the track affects its performance?

The cadence sensor works well and setup on the Garmin 500 was quite easy using the tips found on this forum.

Thanks

    Bump. anyone?
  • The only solutions I could think of would add some weight, i.e. Build up the hub diameter with duct/electrical tape. Maybe a double-sided adhesive to keep it from spinning? As far as the bank angle affecting the unit, I would think the centrifugal force of the spinning unit would be enough to keep it reading accurately.
