GSC10 + Forerunner + HT

Hi everybody,

I'm searching to buy a home trainer. I use my Garmin Forerunner 305 (and probably 920XT... in the future) and GSC10 on my bike for outdoor use. All is perfect.
I'd like to know if in indoor use, this couple works fine, in particular for distance ? If yes, I can buy a simple home trainer (ie low cost) with no electronic.

I don't have any experience specifically with the Forerunner ... but it works fine with my Edge 810. I just turn off the GPS and start pedaling.

Make sure you have some tunes or something to watch or read ... riding a trainer can be BOOOORRRRRIIIIINNNNGGGGG. :)

Okay, If it okay with your Edge, it's could be okay with my old friend FR305 :-)
Thanks for your advise. I've already prepared desktop with my laptop to listen music or watch video (not neccessarly a film... 1h30 on HT could be dramatic !)

FR305 works fine indoors with GSC-10 and GPS turned off...or it used when we used it some years back

Bad luck for me, now I must buy new strap (emettor is OKAY) because my dog eat it ! New model (HRM-RM) is very expensive.

HRM is still running ! Not immediatly but it's running fine...
Now, I hope it still running until christmas;)

So buy the Polar replacement soft strap (assuming your HRM one of the snap on varieties)- they're less than $20/£15/€18... And usable with the HRM-RUN if/when you get that...

This is my final option:D. I hope that my emettor will be compatible with the polar soft strap.

God news ! Polar soft trap is compatible with my emettor. So, for 15€ it's very unexpensive... unlike Garmin accessories strategy :-(
