New Speed/Cad Sensors on rough MTB rides?

Has anyone experience how well the new sensors will work on a mountain bike?
I am wondering if all that rattle on a MTB might influence the sensors. I am especially interested in the speed sensor since I often ride up (and down) steep hills where GPS-Speed calculation is usually jumpy and poor.

Anyone any experience?
  • Yes, I have them on my mountain bike. No problems at all. The speed is much smoother climbing, and they don't seem to be affected by the bumps at all.

Thanks for your input, I think I'll give it a try.

I have been using the new magnet-free Speed Sensor with my Garmin 800 on my full suspension MTB without any issues at all. I've been riding on fairly rough, rocky singletrack for the past month and it works flawlessly (once I did the trick to get my Garmin 800 to recognize it that was detailed in another post about Garmin 800 compatibility).
