GSC10 and 1080 Zipp Wheel

I have a P5 with a rear 1080 Zipp wheel.

Due to the fact that the wheel is very deep the magnet on the spoke is too far from the sensor. I don't care too much about the speed, which I assume it's coming from the magnet on the wheel. I'm more interest in the cadence and the pedal and sensor is in range. Nevertheless, normally I only get cadence for a few minutes and then the cadence is lost.

Does gsc10 only works when speed and cadence are within range ?

I'm using a 910XT with the gsc10.

Thanks for your help
  • How about Garmin's new magnet-less cadence sensor? Should do the trick.

Losing cadence is caused by either the head unit not receiving the sensor signal or the sensor not triggering.

See if changing the location of the 910XT helps. Also check that the magnet is aligned with a line of the side of the sensor with the gap being 2 to 5 cm. Try an new battery in the sensor.
