New Speed / Cadence sensor compatibility?

I was just looking at the product page for the new speed & cadence sensor and it shows the only device it's compatible with as the Edge 1000.

Is this an error? Since it's ANT+, it should work with any ANT+ compatible bike computer.

It works with any ANT+ computer that understands the separate speed and cadence profiles, which isn't all of them. DC Rainmaker's review of the sensors includes a compatibility table. There, for example, you'll find that they work with the Edge 800 but not with the Edge 705.

Just to make sure. If you have the Vector you only need the new speed sensor (Vector takes care of the cadence)? I have the old(er) combo speed/cadence and haven't removed it when I installed vector.

Yep you only need the speed sensor. I just put the new one on my bike and cadence comes from the pedals. I had to change the sensor type from Speed/Cadence to Speed only on the 810 before it would find it.

I don't know how much the new speed Sensor is compatible with the 910xt since after pairing going on detail the 910 doesn't pick-up the Sensor s/n

will the GSC 10 work with Garmin Fit or other iphone apps without the ANT+ adapter? The adapter doesn't fit iphone 5 and above. Is it possible to still use the iphone to see what GSC 10 is recording? Trying to find a cheap solution before affording a bike computer.
