Wheel sensor

Hi all

First time on this or any forum. After about have my first garmin about a month or so. The edge 510 I am on my second wheel sensor and after just getting back from a ride I see again that it is no longer there. Is this a common issue. What can I do to rectify this I thought I was on securely.

Do you mean the magnet that goes on the spoke?

Make sure it's tightly screwed in.

I've found that the pedal magnet can come loose occasionally. I keep a spare in my saddle bag.

I haven't ever seen a post about that happening. Are you using zip ties. They are normally secure.

Recently I had the zip tie get cut by rubbing against something (not sure what).

Also, if there is any grease on the crank arm (under the magnet), the adhesive won't bond well and it can slip ... even if it looks secure.

Sorry the spoke magnet

Just make sure the screw is tight and the spoke is clean when you put it on. I've never seen any of mine even come loose.

The magnet slipping because it is not tight enough it's fairly common but I haven't ever heard of the magnet actually coming off. If you lost two you probably are not getting it on correctly. There is a different notch on each side of the screw, one for round spokes and one for flats spokes. Are you using the correct notch?

I never noticed that myself. I'll have to take another look when I get home.
