I’m posting this because I’m still having the same issue with the Garmin Speed Sensor 2 not connecting properly to the Garmin Connect app.
When trying to add the sensor in Garmin Connect, it gets stuck on the “This may take 10 minutes” update screen and never completes. It simply will not connect through the app.
I previously raised this issue with Garmin Support, and they sent me a replacement Speed Sensor 2. Unfortunately, the exact same problem is happening with the new unit.
I’ve also tested this across multiple devices:
Android phone
iPhone
So this does not appear to be device-specific.
At this point, it seems very likely that this is a firmware or app-related issue rather than a faulty individual sensor. Garmin really need to investigate and fix this, as replacing the hardware hasn’t solved anything.
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
