Cadence sensor 2 paired but no data being transmitted

I have paired my Garmin Cadence sensor 2 to Lezyne bike computer.

It's Definitely paired, I put in a new battery in case the battery was issue. I get green light flash 5 times when I connect the battery. Re-paired the sensor but it still does not transmit any data.

I have put it on my stationery bike so I can check that it "wakes up" when I turn the pedals. It never appears to wake up.

This is a new sensor. Is there a fault with it?

  • Same issue here:

Watch with ANT+ connection can see the data, but iPhone16e  with BT connection doesn't she the data on any app.

    Really frustrating!

  • phone doesn't need to be connected to cadence sensor only the app (for example Tacx), watch, Edge, etc.

  • Thanks for the advice, but that’s not the case.
the sensor is connected only via the app, but still no data is transmitted. I tried with my sons phone older iPhone with 18.41 IOS and it does work at that phone

  • Lezyne bike computer

And what do they say, because it seems like the sensor is transmitting if it is flashing green.

    Which app?

Are you using a Garmin watch? If so, add the sensor to the watch, add a data field to the Bike activity, start the activity and see if you get cadence.

  • Yes, on the watch I can see the cadence. This tells me that the ANT+ connection works well. This helps

e to get the cadence, but what I really want is to see it on the phone screen in front of me  while cycling.
on one phone than I’m using (latest IPhone with latest IOS) the data is not streamed to any app. I tried Wahoo, Fitmeter Bike, Cyclemeter and a couple more. On an older iPhone with older IOS I can see the cadence data. I’m starting to think that it’s maybe an IOS problem with its Low-Energy Bluetooth connection.

  • My experience is that not all phones have ANT+. I have a Samsung and had to load an app from the store to be able to see ANT+. Look in the iOS store.....
