Watts Going On? Cannot Recognise "Power" On Instinct 2 Solar 2X from Concept2 Bike Erg PM5

Hey all,

Firstly, this is my first post here so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.

I'm having trouble getting Watts registered on my Garmin Instinct 2 Solar 2X via the Concept2 Bike Erg PM5 - the funny thing is, it worked for the first session I had with it (as per the image below) but not since..

I've tried different settings etc to no avail, opting for the "Indoor Cycling" profile on my Instinct 2 Solar 2X.

Even after exploring the Sensor and Accessories category within the menu screen, only Sensors/Cadence work - it does not register the Power device.

Other fields are registered as expected/hoped, such as distance, heart rate, etc etc. but no matter what I do, I'm unable to see it appear again.

Hopefully, somebody can enlighten or guide me in displaying Watts and making full use of the watch.

    You have to scan for indoor trainer, not powermeter. 
    the pm5 connects as trainer. 

    Also,, check connectivity settings in the PM5. I can’t exactly recall how they are named, will have two at my hands at work on Monday.

    thank you for responding, ! unfortunately, this has made no difference - perhaps the PM5 settings you mention may help, but i haven't touched any of those apart from the initial connectivity

    this is really bizarre.. still no joy
