Garmin sensor 2 reports the wrong time saves my rides after brief stops.

Primarily used for indoor/trainer activities, been taking it back on the road recently and a brief traffic stop prompts the ride to save.

The times of these posted rides is all wrong - not a time zone issue.

My garmin speed sensor 2 has been inactive for a while. Battery status reports ok. What to do?

If you do not want the Speed Sensor to log/upload activity then do this:

Unpair the speed sensor 2 from the list of bluetooth devices on your mobile phone.
Unpair as a Garmin Device from the Garmin Connect app...you will be prompted by the app to remove the speed sensor 2 from your phones' list of paired bluetooth devices.
You only need to pair your cycle computer/GPS unit to the speed sensor 2 as a sensor...follow the Add Sensor instructions displayed by your cycle computer/GPS unit

Job done.
