I use this cables ( adapter bit goes into the charging port in the edge )in all my electronics, not only because they are very straightforward to connect with no struggle for you or for the port. More important the port doesn't suffer with the constant use. Specially with micro usb. There are many reports of broken charging port in this forum.
Been using this system with my new edge 830, all goes well and this oval bit fit just right when attaching the cable.
I'm writing here searching for ideas on how to made a new cover as the one attached to de edge no longer fits - close and it's important to prevent dirt or water. Some kind of DIY made of foam ,silicone...
