Garmin Edge 605 - how do I fix a corrupt TCX file?

I have done a ride yesterday on a broken device (not waterproof). It has got wet and so started bleeping and displaying screens I wasn't interested in. I have managed to recover the file however cannot upload it on Strava due to the TCX file being corrupt.

There are plenty of tools for FIT files but they don't work for TCX

What do I do?

TCX is an XML file, so should be readable and fixable in any text editor. If you are not familiar with the intricacies of XML, then try posting the file here, so maybe someone can have a look at it.

Indeed, the file is corrupt. Some part at the begging has been replaced by zeroes. This includes part of the lap header and initial part of the GPS track. I removed the zeroes, and fixed the header so it conforms to TCX schema, however be aware that some data - especially the initial part of the track - might be lost irreverisbly. Anyway, the fixed file should now import directly into Garmin Connect.

I'm sorry, but I don't have any tools for repairing fit files. The TCX file was relatively easy, as it's a plain xml file.
