Garmin GCS 10 or Just GPS from Garmin 1030

Hi,

Perhaps this is a strange question but I wonder what the differnce is when I just use my Garmin 1030 wihout any sensors for speed what i normally do.

Or I also install the sensor Garmin GSC 10 with cadans AND speed which I habe but never have used.

What is the best way to use and how can I see if Garmin is using just GPS or is using the GCS 10 Sensor for measuring the speed?

Hope you have an answer for me,

Thanks,Gr. Gaserop

A speed sensor improves speed/distance accuracy in conditions which could be challenging for GPS. This includes (but is not limited to) the following cases:

    • tunnels
    • tall buildings nearby
    • extreme winding roads (like for example some mountain trails).
