Speed Sensor 2 - Software v4.0

Garmin, what is the reason for software version 4.0 for being pulled, is there another version being released soon?

I apologize for the confusion I created here. Version 4.00 is now fully available via Garmin Connect Mobile or a compatible Garmin Device.

I just took my sensor off the bike and made sure it was close to the head unit and phone and was the only sensor attached to the head unit. I also took it all away from the bike where none of the other…

They are weirdly silent on this. My Garmin is wanting me to update to 4.0 every single time I pair the sensor, but it can't download it anymore so it eventually fails. This is some bush league software…

Is garmin ever going to add the promised function to stop the speed sensor recording a crazy short activity like 0.12km when I spin the wheel during cleaning & maintenance?

It's to crazy for words. I have had contact with Garmin in the Netherlands. They send me a new sensor, but that is not the problem. The sensor works, only the update everytime failed.

The solution is to only have the sensor connected to your Edge head unit, not your phone. There is no reason to connect the speed sensor to the phone directly if using an Edge head unit. If you are trying to record directly with the speed sensor and upload directly to GC, then my advice doesn't apply.

Yes, but evertime the connections disappears.

The connection with what? Garmin Connect Mobile on Android device, Garmin Connect Mobile on iOS/iPad OS device, Garmin watch, Garmin Edge, or something else?

What worked great for me yesterday was just keep cycling slowly but steadily. Updated the speed and cadans sensors in about two minutes without any problem through my Fenix

My Edge830 doesn't report any firmware update for speed sensor 2. Neither with Ant+ nor BLE connection. Edge firmware is 9.50.

Model # is 3192. Is this update intended for this model?
