Cadence sensor, Samsung, garmin connect compatability problem.

I am unable to connect my new cadence sensor to the garmin connect app on any of my Samsung devices. Is this a known compatability issue with Samsung (s21 ultra and tabS4)?

The sensor connected to my garmin GPS so I know the sensor it is working.

The cadence sensor will not pair with the Garmin Connect Mobile app as the software on it is not updateable so there is nothing that can be done with it using the app.
