HRM Dual not connecting to any device

I've used a HRM Dual for a few years with no issue except bying a new strap. Changed the battery about 6 months ago and kept going no problem.

As of a few days ago it won't connect to any device it's worked with before. (Fenix 5, Edge 530 and a laptop with ANT+) Tried a new battery again but no change so I figured it has just died after lots of use so got a new one. The problem is none of the above devices will pair with the new one! The Edge briefly found it but after pairing would not connect..

I've tried everythihng I can think of, wetting contact points, training with it "warmin up" as the manual puts it, but nothing..

So now what, any advice?

I asked in a different forum and got help.

Take out battery

Install battery upside down close and wait about 5 seconds

Re install battery correct

This worked on the old one and it now works again. Will…

i am having the same issue. Started about 2 weeks ago. Connects briefly then drops. Same on Edge 830 and Fenix 6. Tries wetting strap, tried 3 straps including a brand new Garmin one. Changed the battery for a brand new one.

I cant see how to try and connect it via BT to see if that's better

Thanks. i will try. Any ideas what the most up to date firmware is for it. Mine shows 2.50 in the details page
