Not getting distance while cycling indoors

Hey guys, I just got a peloton and connected a cadence sensor to it. The first ride it logged my distance but now it won’t log any distances. My watch says it’s connected to the cadence Sensor so I’m just a bit confused on what’s happening. I want to be able to do challenges with my peloton but getting kinda bummed

  • A cadence sensor won't give you distance. It provides cadence only. Not sure how you got distance on your first ride, but there must have been another distance source.

    Thanks for your answer.
But when you connect a cadence sensor, you have to set a diameter for the wheel.

    What for ?
Because with cadence and diameter of the wheel, you can calculate the distance.

  • Only if you know the gearing if you are trying to use cadence.

What device is asking for wheel size when you connect cadence sensor. None of the Garmin products should do this unless you are adding a combined/combo  cadence/speed sensor.

  • But when you connect a cadence sensor, you have to set a diameter for the wheel.

That applies to the speed sensor, not the cadence sensor. So, which one do you have? A cadence sensor or a speed sensor?
