Link heart rate from Vivoactive 4 to activity

Hello all,

I've recently bought a Vivoactive 4 watch.
Is it possible to link my heart rate to an activity registered on my Edge Explore?
Or are the cycling activity of my Edge Explore and my heart rate from the Vivoactive automatically paired in the app?
