Garmin Vector 2 PR 3 & Garmin Edge 520

Hello.

I had bought Garmin Vector 2 PR3 and I have garmin edge 520

Unfortunately I have only one pod.
When I try to put the pod on the left pedal, garmin 520 does not recognize the power sensor. When i put the pod on the right pedal, it is recognized and the angles can be set, also the crank arm lenghth except the calibration. Always error on calibration: error 128 or rarely error 8.

Can you help me?

Do you think everything should be k if i buy another pod? I do not understand why the edge 520 does not recognize the sensor if I put the pod on the left pedal...

Please.

You need another pod. The right side is the master side that communicates with the head unit, but it is looking for the left side pedal. When you put the pod on the left side there is no communication with the head unit as the right side has no pod.

After buying another pod, do i have to connect the pedals in gamin connect or it is enough in garmin edge 520 as a power sensor?

You cannot connect them with Garmin Connect. If you put the new pod of the left side the right side should push any software update to it if the pod is on a different software build.

There is also a desktop tool for updating Vector 1 and 2 systems, but you need an ANT USB stick for that. That should have come with pedals. If you bought the pedals from a previous owner that may not have been in the box.

I do have another question please.
Do I necessarily need washers and a special wrench for tightening? I took the pedals sh and...
I read 35-40 NM for tightening

They need to be tighten down good an tight, but if you do that you don't really need to use a torque wrench.

You might need washers. It depends on the amount of chain clearance you have .
