Oregon 450 firmware

Hello. I have not found Oregon 450 subforum so I am writing here.

My friend has connected his Garmin Oregon 450 to the smartphone lately and the navigation started to freeze after 10-15 minutes of operation. He contacted the Service Center in Poland and got the information, that  probably the device firmware has been damaged by the Android OS. But the problem is that computer cannot see the device connected by USB so my friend cannot use the dedicated Garmin software to update the firmware. Oregon 450 is an old model and not taken to be repaired.

But I learned that it is possible to save the firmware on a memory card using PC, then put the card into Oregon 450 and update the firmware in the device. But I do not know how to do it and cannot find the firmware as a separate file. So could you help us to find the the firmware and description how to install it in the damaged device?
