bontrager duotrap s

I own a Garmin Forerunner 245. When trying to connect this watch to my bontrager duotrap S It did find a divice it called duotrap S, but when I go for a ride with cadans on my watchface, it remains a 0. Therefore I tried my Garmin GPSmaps 62s. This device did connect properly to the duotrap and the cadanse shows properly. So the magnets are correctly possitioned.

Does anyone know a fix to connect my Forerunner correctly to the duotrap? I would realy like to have my cadans data in the connect app.

I talked to "Customer Service" and the watches are generally not able to communicate the data. The CatEye App, or a bike computer are required.

I talked to "Customer Service" and the CatEye app or a bike computer are required. The Garmin watch cannot communicate the data. A Garmin bike computer should be able to show on Connect.

thanks for responding.
I did get it to work, so the statement of "customer service" is not quite correct.

I do have the trouble of losing connection to the watch after some half an hour, while the GPSmaps 62s keeps displaying the cadance.

So, I am not surprised that "Customer Service" was mistaken. I found it difficult and frustrating dealing with the man on the phone.

How did you get it to work?

Sorry for the late reply.

I selected the find all sensors on my watch in stead of pre-selecting the speed or cadens sensors.

It found the bontrager and it worked sinds. Except for the duration i told earlier.
