Speed Sensor 2 wrong distances

Hi,

what may be wrong with measured distance?

When I'm commuting on the morning is the distance right.

Afternoon I made 3 activities at commuting to home, and all these distances are multiplied by cca 1,5.

The sensor is new, and is connected to Garmin Connect (iOS) only.

The wheel Circumference I have right.

I think, I cought it. On rear hub was it is 0,42km. So, then i figured out, I have a steel frame - with the compass is visibly, that the front fork is little magnetic. Thank you for Your support!

It seems, that the afternoon activities have mismatch km/miles.

Today, I tried another piece, and the same issue. 400meters are measured as 603meters....

Today I made small test - same track as last time (cca 400m). With white tape marked front wheel and I counted the rotatioins. It was 197 rotations, with circumference 2170mm that means 0,427km. In Garmin Connect is 0,65km.

Is the sensor mounted on the rear wheel? If so try a test and put it on the front wheel.

I have seen issues where part of the drive chain can get magnetized and this can cause false wheel rotations to be counted.

It is on front wheel. Shall i try rear?

It would not hurt to check that it behaves the same on the read hub.

The latest FIT file shows 298 rotations. That is 100 more than you counted so something is definitely wrong.
