Speed Sensor 2 - Turning Off Activity Tracking

After reading DC Rainmakers review of the Speed Sensor v2, he intimates that Activity tracking can be turned off.

"you can turn off the activity creation bit altogether if you want. Or, you could just disable the pairing to Garmin Connect Mobile"

Does anyone know how to do this because I can't find it in the settings?

Same here, Super annoying. If I decouple it from the app will it still give trough the speed data to my forerunner 745??

Yes, as long as it is paired with your Forerunner 745.

Same here... years later. Bike tire spins... activity is made... uploads to strava. Does anyone know how to fix this in 2023? Lol.

Unpair it from your phone. It doesn't need to be paired to the phone to be used as a sensor for an Edge head unit. There's no reason to have it paired to your phone if you don't want it tracking activities.

Exactly - unpair the speed sensor 2 from your list of bluetooth devices on your mobile phone. Unpair as a Garmin Device from the Garmin Connect app...you will be prompted by the app to remove the speed sensor 2 from your phones' list of paired bluetooth devices.

You only need to pair your cycle computer unit to the speed sensor 2 as a sensor.

Job done.
