HR zones and training status

Hi,

My HR monitor got wet and in one ride produced extremely high values of HRmax above 230bpm and HRaverage  around 200bpm. Since then all my HR zones are displayed incorrectly, the impact of any training has changed to very low as my normal HRmax is 168bpm.

I manuallyreadjusted the HR values for the ride to no avail, then I deleted the ride from the device, from garmin connect both mobile and desktop version and still garmin tells me that 163km ride with several hard climbs and max HR at 160bpm produced only minor aerobic effect and after 4 hours rest I should train again :-)

Is there any way to correct it?

Thanks

  • Edit your MaxHR in the User Settings on Garmin Connect to 168bpm. Your zones should update to the correct figures. Then sync to your device.

To prevent the problem from re-occuring in the future, turn off HR Autodetect.
