I finally got the cadence sensor to connect.
When you open the battery, the connector on the battery lid needs to be seated just right so that when you close the lid, the connector hits the little bronze…
What just worked for me was prying the smaller connector upward a bit. Obviously it had gotten bent down. I was having no luck after changing battery and Garmin connect told me it must be dead...ha! The…
This worked for me !! Thank you !!
Yes this worked however I had to also pull that smaller connector out a little bit as well. I used tweezers and moved it out and then up slightly and it fixed the issue
Yes. You have to be very careful not to damage the small side connector when inserting the battery. I was too clumsy and the battery no longer made contact with this connector. I tried using fine nosed pliers to bend the connector back into position but it was so stiff to move that I thought it would break. In the end I used a small soldering iron to add a small sliver of solder to bring the connector sufficiently close to the battery and problem was solved. It was a very difficult and fidly process. Garmin need to redesign the battery compartment to get round this problem.
no because out of pure frustration i threw it in the garbage bin :-)
Perfect, thanks
Hey that worked for me!! Had to do it twice and used a paperclip to lift up the little connector but it worked. Thanks
Great! Happy to help!
I had the same issue. After reading your reply I fixed my sensor and it works!
So happy to help!
Thanks worked for me after wasting time changing batteries numerous times. The paper insert came out and I put it back in the wrong position. The correct position is where there is a small insert cut into the side of the lid which ensures the large upper connector hits the small bronze hub on the sensor. Once I understood this it worked immediately.
