Connect Garmin Edge 810 with Tacx Flow Smart cadence/speed

Hi,

Happy New Year!

Winter time, so, roller time when we can't go outside.

The idea is to connect Tacx Flow Smart that has ANT+ with Garmin Edge 810 but for some reason, I only get cadence, speed is 1/3 of the speed!!!

Setup:
I have Garmin connected with Tacx flow (ANT+), cadence/Speed sensor appears and connects.
I have Tacx connectd with tablet (Tacx software) (Bluetooth). It show cadence and speed.

Issue:
On tablet I can see speed at 30km/h and cadence at 100, but on Garmin Edge 810 it stats 10 km/h and cadence is OK.

Anyone add the same issue?

What can be the reason?

Thank you!
  • You may need to manually set the wheel size in Sensor settings on the Edge. The speed sensor transmits revolutions and the Edge calculates distance based on wheel size. It sounds like the trainer uses a value that is not based on a standard road tire. Just figure out a setting that gives the speed you are looking for. Maybe 3 times the current default setting.
  • Solved with that solution, it was configured as 700.

    Thank you!
