And this bug seems to exist for years. For me that battery drain is unbearable. Unfortunatly I think about refunding my garmin epix for that.
Battery drains much faster with new update 16.10.
Please see if there could be potential issues.

Battery draining very fast, even on average mode. Makes device useless.
A recent release has caused serious battery drain in standby mode. Watch lasts only 2-3 days when sitting on a desk doing nothing (GPS not in use).
