  • RE: pin location and its effect on approach shot stats

    9191335
    9191335

When you move pin position it affect only approach shot distance which watch shows to you. It doesn't register new pin position, it always assume that pin is center of green. Because of this you never know how close you hit your approach shot. And because…

    Hi,
I noticed, that activities without GPS ("InWalk" or original Garmin app "Indoor Track") count steps correctly, but calculated/visible distance is MUCH too short.
I found that fenix 5S is calibrating step length related to done GPS…

    Second post - more data.

Yesterday Garmin 645 would not show distance and when ended the run would not synch.

Did a hard reset from System menu.  Reinstalled Lachesis and Crystal watch faces; Dozen Run data field; and Minute Cast widget plus enabled compass…

@Phl0w the advantage of interval screen are the pace audio alerts. Of course for short intervals of 400m now the audio alerts are wrong, so Garmin should fix this as soon as possible. In my FR945 I can get pace audio alerts only if there is a "workout…

You aren't actually doing what you think you are doing. When you click Edit Activity, you are actually editing the activity data. If Garmin Connect said your ride was 20km, but you actually rode 21km, you would change the distance value to 21 and leave…

    Hi DaniloDiMarco

This is probably what you are looking for: https://www.firstbeat.com/en/consumer-feature/race-time-predictor/

The short answer to your question is that 3 key elements were added.

    1. Long- and short-term trends in running mileage.

    2. Long…

I can't find any way to adjust this. I've been looking for the same thing. I seems to obvious a feature for Garmin to have made the 12 second averaging period user adjustable to as long as we want. But, alas, I haven't found any way to adjust it.…

  • Repeating timer on Venu 2/2S

    9688862
    9688862

Can any owners of a Venu 2 or 2S tell me whether/how the watch can support a countdown timer that vibrates once it ends (no chime) and automatically restarts?

I have an Instinct watch can do this with the Timer function using Auto Restart, but from what…

  • RE: How accurate is max speed/pace during runs?

    morey000

the watch generates a GPS location once per second.  Each point is only accurate to 10m or so.  The watch's algorithm tries to smooth out the points and predict an actual position and velocity.  The instantaneous pace display is averaged over about 10…
