  • RE: GPS Version 2.30

Last Saturday I did an OW swim with measured distance 2478m; the map course plotted looked OK. The same (approx) swim the next day (yesterday) was measured at 2085m. The plotted course had a short cut in it ie the plot did not go all the way to the turn…

Were you riding in forrests by any chance? The new GPS chip used in the Edge 530 and Edge 830 appears to be working far less precise than previous generations under such conditions as demonstrated by the numerous reports like https://forums.garmin.com…

The gpx file indicates that only the distance value from the trip computer is being sent along with the track. All other values are being recalculated by BaseCamp.

The Trip Computer on most, if not all Garmin devices, updates every second, while the…

The % of short, medium and long range putts will record as a performance stat and course stat metric.

On the scorecard, the location on the map in relation to the green will show a dot for the putt being marked...but the distance will not show as the…

I recently bought 645M and I am satisfied. It is not an issue, but recently I noticed the start/stop button has different feel than other buttons. All buttons on my 645M clicks, as well as Start/Stop button but Start/Stop button has shorter travel/stroke…

IFrom Gramin's explanation, the reading is associated with a shot to be taken from that reading location.
If so, it will solve the short chip/put not being detected issue.

Once you have done a short run and performed a calibration, the watch should be accurate enough without needing to recalibrate each time. For instance, my current treadmill and my Fenix 7s are accurate to within 2%. This is probably more accurate than…

If you pause a an activity, move to a new location before resuming it is possible that the recording device will calculate a speed between the two points. Or this could happen if GPS lock is lost (quite possible with the pause when not moving) and you…

So I analyzed my files a bit more in depth:

    1. Half marathon (although distance was short) in 1:23:41.

FIT file shows battery going from 0.84 to 0.77 over 1 hr and 20 minutes. I used the battery level connect iq field for that and it shows 84.20% to 77…

Was all excited with the latest updates for Physio-TrueUP however noticed that all that is being pushed to my 5X is the last ride/rides. Despite those rides having data such as HR, FTP, Watts, Cadence, distance etc., training load/effort/FTP and Vo2…
