  • RE: Fenix 5 Plus Golf App - Measure Shot

    Fully echo-ing the above.
The manual shot measurement is really a critical feature, without that we need to carry old watches / other watches to measure properly the shot.
Please consider adding a "manual shot measurement" feature, it's only minor software…

It seems my separate elaborate post on that was converted into a comment here. The "brought back" feature only adds two extra short vibrations before the end of time-based intervals (-2 and -1 second before end) and there is nothing for distance based…

Eivinnh, there were a few slight unnatural peaks in height, and that's one, short and very large. In this "jump", fenix showed me that I am at -500m (total about 700). The total ascent was about 7700 m, but it would not increase the distance to over 31…

After a "hard reset" (holding the light button down till it powered down), I went for a short run tonight, and it was more of the same. On the satellite view, I'm cutting through wooded areas and neighbors' houses. I don't know how much I can rely on…

My experience so far is that even a dynastream pod (I have the adidas speedcell) works fine for pace when used with auto-calibration as long as GPS can provide accurate distance (so far my F5 hasn't failed at this). How ever the calibration seems to change…

In my experience (hiking and cycling in the Alps) an average vertical climbing speed is 400-500 meters per hour; top-notch athletes will be able to progress at a rythm of 1200-1500 meters per hour (Contador achieved 1850 m/hour on a 20 minute stint going…

I did a short run and it was working well so far. Unfortunately I can't compare distances (with GPS+Galileo) yet, as the distances I ran today were a little bit different to the distances I have stored from previous firmwares.

Thank you, aweatherall. You must be right. Today I made a a soft reset and, while in a different course, all waypoints were at the correct distance. The single strange occurrence was that, after a short off course section of about 100m, and upon return…

It happens on every run now.  Normally shorter by ~0.15km over 10km.  Doesn't matter which route, it is short every time now compared to the same routes before the update.  Flat runs aren't as bad as hilly runs though.  I will try the different GPS…

I think it should be quite good after calibration. The best improvement compared to old foot pods for me has been that you don't have to constantly tweak the calibration to get good accuracy.

If you want absolute accuracy at shorter distances like…
