  • RE: Indoor inaccuracies?

I have the same problem.  I have run many times outside but when I run indoors on a 200m track the distance measured by the Garmin is totally off... like 30% longer than it should be for several miles, then it goes about 10% short for a mile then it is…

    Probably for the watch:
    - short courses (to ca. 50 pt) = route (possible info: next point, distance to next)
    - long courses = track (no info)

    I apologise for my English

Just coming from a short run, using datafield build by FlowState . It works really fine, excellent work, FlowState ! Thank you much for sharing this with us! :-)

The only issue I had, is that the datafield is counting distance below the defined pace instead…

I managed to update the firmware via a computer like a 2004 iPod, and I now get some results through to my phone on the driving range. I wouldn’t say the bugs are all gone yet. I needed to have the ball very specifically placed in order to achieve a result…

Does the route you followed have a lot of sharp turns? Does it have a lot of buildings or trees?

Have you compared the two GPS traces to see whether one of them is cutting corners or going off track?

In general, I find the 955 is very accurate, far more…

Simple: When you disable gps, the distance traveled is calculated from the number of steps and the step length stored in the watch. Looks like your stored step length might be too short.

My 5x is also short on distance (especially in the forest).
in a forest run its like 10% off with my TomTom watch. People who claim you need a foodpod are wrong because the old TomTom was accurate every run. Now the same runs can differ in distance.

The Fenix 6 measures GPS distance consistently 2-3% to short.

Here is a comparison from today:

    Fenix 6: 8,3km

    Forerunner 305: 8,5km

    Samsung S10/Endomondo: 8,71km.

This is what I have seen from all my runs. Using beta 5.72, 5.74 and 5.75.

    The oHR have…

Hi, as I commented on a similar thread for Venu (which I use), the 2 short buzzes it gives only work for time-constrained intervals and for distance ones there is nothing (I spent hours testing that). It used to buzz nicely and for long enough before…

48 years old, ~240 runs over 1700 km (I usually do two short runs per week on the treadmill which cuts down the average distance per run somewhat). Most happy this year with my first official (i e race) 10K sub 40 minutes.
