  • RE: Respect pace on training plan, how to?

    Jamie
    Jamie

Unfortunately, speed isn't easily measured with GPS over short distances.

Because the interval is brief, I would personally try an run at a pace you feel is in the zone through the entire interval - and adjust the speed up or down for subsequent efforts…

I am 50, I use bifocal glasses and when riding bike I use only farsighted lenses …so short distance stuff is hard to read…I want the option to increase the arrow…I understand that it is always in the same position But It rotate and…

Oh I totally get it. My Venu 2 is also on the fritz for calories, but what I'm saying is mine seems to get my steps right, so it may be yours, or there are other issues with the firmware. Twice the steps is kind of insane.

    Have you tried actually…

did you get a chance to compare laps/lap pace?

I’ll try to get the lap splits downloaded later as a data table from Garmin Connect, then merge the data so the times for each can be compared directly. I did notice during the run that the F5 was slowly slippping…

It would be worth trying a manual setting. For a 25c wheel, the setting should be close to 2105. The distance being too short and the wheel size setting too big leads to the possibility that the Forerunner is not getting the correct number of sensor triggers…

I found that I do get extra steps counted when driving. Maybe a couple hundred during a 30 min drive but I also get missed steps when walking short distances like from room to room in my house etc. I feel over the long term it kinda balances out.

    I also…

truxdid you understand what I was suggesting, I know exactly what my watch is recording, Pool activity is using swim metrics to measure a defined pool lap distance, I was at an outdoor 50m pool, I don't use the open water swim as it is not as accurate…

  • Why is Stat tracking is so unbelievably poor!?

I cannot believe how poor the stat tracking functionality is in the garmin golf app considering the price of the S70!watches. Simple things such as:

    1. Being able to filter by time period rather than have FIR and GIR stats cover the entire period that…

Hi Brittal. Did the USB with Garmin express work? I have similar issues, pretty sure it's coming up short on distance and the track on my map is completely straight. Thought it was remote location of the loch I swim in but it's happened on 2 sea swims…

I've ran the VAHR along-side an Edge just to see how it compares while biking.
Vivoactive does not support power meters - not an issue for most people.
Other than that, the post ride data was pretty much the same once you load it into Garmin Connect…
