As the other user pointed out in the forum you linked to, the file to check is the gmapbltn.img. Since that file looks ok in your case, I will have to investigate further and get back to you.

Upload date from Edge 705 Incorrect?!

I have only just got my Edge 705 but when i uploaded the data from a short ride Garmin Connect the activity date reads Mon 1st Jan 1990.

I have checked the date on the 705 and my PC and they are both correct. 25/01/10.

How can i rectify this problem…

I don't know. I never tried that as I didn't think there would be any connection. Is that something that's been an issue?

If there is corrupt data on the card, then yes, this can cause it to shut down.
