  • RE: Software Update - 8.40

    RunR
    RunR

I use Galileo which works fine, after 6 weeks with the F5+ I would say that especially unter difficult conditions (dense woods, slight rain), the tracking is better than with my Fenix 3, no "drunken runner" so far. As Sensors I use HRM run, Tempe and…

Hm. I (and others) found the UltraTrac mode pretty useless. If it would record GPS just every minute or so, it would make sense, but the way how it is implemented (prediction of distance taking direction with current pace), leads to tracks that are so…

When I have done some Workouts with pace as target (ie 8 mile run, pace between 8 min and 9 min), that data screen that shows your current pace gets "stuck" on a pace after a while and is no longer accurate.  Basically just  eventually freezes…

Regarding question 1, I don’t think this is available from Garmin, but maybe in a third party (CIQ) data field.
On question 2, this is actually how my 935 behaves by default. I usually do 1k Intervalls and I can see the remaining distance during the interval…

Think there is a bit of an issue with current pace that hopefully can be fixed in a software update. It is often up to 30 secs/mile too slow for me. Seems worse when you are not in the open - eg under some tree cover. During my HM last Sunday which had…

you'll think your pace is messed up when in fact it's the watch, annoying, confusing and just plain unacceptable.

You're right, I'm thinking about whether this can be solved or not... I'm afraid it's the matter of GPS "inaccuracy" so that's a…

I think there was another software regression last year when there were issues with voice announcements during the run.

In fact, previously, after every kilometer of running I got voice details about the average heart rate, average and current pace, distance…

Thanks for all your responses. Im guessing ill stick to lap times then. It will just take some time getting used to it. i was just really frustrated because i didnt know which times were correct and which were not even tough that isnt so hard to find…

I've the same issue today with the Fenix 7s and running pod.

I just found out about the data recording frequency which I've updated to every second. I'm not sure if it will fix it but the reason I even check is  I ran 2 hours and the calculated…

I created a PacePro Plan and set the splits to kilometers. Throughout the race on multiple occasions, the watch began showing me the splits every mile but the target pace was still in kilometers. In other instances, the splits were in kilometers but the…
