Garmin's default "current pace" is rounded (if I am not wrong) to 5 sec/km.
Also the current pace has to be calculated by GPS coordinates. This will add a lag as well.

Hi Former Member FR245 broadcast both your current heart rate but also your current pace (speed) and cadence over the standard Bluetooth without any pod / HR strap.
Settings -> Focus Modes -> Activity -> Voice Alerts -> Pace/Speed Alerts -> Recurring Alert -> Alert Type
Sounds like in Alert Type you have Current Pace/Speed but want Lap Pace/Speed
