Feature Request: Golfer - CT1 compatibility

Will the new CT1 sensors ever be compatible with Garmin's premium golfing watch? its a bit of a smack in the face that it's not prioritised given the initial investment. I realise the CT10s are available however their profile is is too large and they come loose. At the moment Arccos have a far superior product which is disappointing...

  • People want to love their devices and feel great about their purchases—especially when investing in a premium product like the Fenix 8, which many see as a flagship upgrade even over golf-specific watches.

Let’s be honest: how many people want—or can afford—to buy a separate watch for every sport? I use my Fenix 8 for everything: running, hockey, hiking, and golf. It’s my all-in-one device. My friends at the course were genuinely excited about the Fenix 8, and then when I mentioned the CT1 sensors, they almost wanted to buy it on the spot—but then we found out it's not supported. That was a real letdown.

I’ve also seen so many comments from people who bought the CT1 sensor, only to realize at home that it’s not compatible with their Fenix 8. It’s frustrating, especially because the tech is simple—it just skips a few manual button presses in the app. Customers end up feeling misled. To many, it comes across as an artificial upselling tactic, and that’s when trust and loyalty start to fade.

I really hope Garmin reconsiders. Adding CT1 compatibility to high-end multisport watches like the Fenix would go a long way to show that customer experience and long-term satisfaction still matter.
