Instinct Solar Just Started Showing 164 Days Battery Life After USB Charging.

Been in the sun a lot since. Indicator swings up & down 20 days or so Sun vs No Sun & is currently showing 189 days. Isn't specs 30 something days full charge? Did Garmin just insanely optimize the battery life via a firmware update or is there something wrong with my watch? Note: this batt life is with all my sensors ON & watch is NOT in Battery Saver Mode.

  • The total days remaining you are seeing is absolutely possible if you wear your watch often and it is being solar charged. My first Instinct Solar, I was able to get well over 30 days charge for my battery when I solar charged it only 3-4 hours per day in a window with good sunlight while I was working.

As soon as you use GPS or your sensors a lot, you will see the total drop quickly as the software recalibrates your battery life based on how you are using your watch.
