Solar Instinct Crashing randomly

When trying to start an activity, the watch just crashes. Also noticed that it was crashing everytime i would get a notification from my phone. Turned smart notifications off, seemed to help for a day then just started crashing at random times.

Have already done full resets and software updates...

I have found the solution while scraping though the entire known internet.

Turn off Vibrate. This fixes the issue.

MENU button ( long press)

ABC button to SETTINGS : GPS button to enter menu

ABC button…

Same here, whenever I start the gps, the watch just crashes and the only way to make it start again is to plug it in with usb cable

Does it crash doing a premade workout through the garmin connnect app aswell? I had to return it twice due to activity crashing (and loop crashing). Very unfortunate as I loved the watch for how it was..

I’m having the exact same problem, even hourly alerts are causing it to shut down, can’t record sleep data anymore, just started doing this a cppl of weeks ago, it was my favorite watch, was the most reliable, note I have to rely on my Suunto. Chris help me out

I have the same problem. Shutting down during activity at alerts, when saving, when acquiring GPS and now during the night. I have done factory reset, soft reset, extra long charging, my software version is 16.12,. Got the watch in Nov 2020 to replace a FR935 that had cracked HR monitor. I hope that it can be fixed otherwise I'm looking at 2 expensive devices failing within 3.5 years which is too disappointing

I am having the same problem did everything full reset to factory reset still switching off halfway through the night. Deleted all date still the same help

I have the same issue with my solar surf which has been used for 1.5 years.
If you are still in warranty, you are in luck.
Otherwise, Garmin in my country has only offered me the only solution: US$130 (Refurnished watch core with 90days warranty).

Tried sending private message, but get acess denied message. Having same issue. Watch shuts down during activity, or when trying to stop/save activity. Software up to date. Done reset, full factory reset. Still happening.
