Body battery and activity restore later

The body battery does not work when the "restore later" activity is saved. When I save the activity - restore later in the evening, the battery points stop and it is +0, -0, the next day. The watch monitors sleep, but the body battery is stopped. It is a mistake? I have the last SW, it has done it in others before.

  • Hi TeaRacer,

I believe this is to be expected looking at Garmin FAQs:

"HRV data is also not collected while an activity is in a paused or "Resume Later" state."

    https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/?faq=04pnPSBTYSAYL9FylZoUl5

HRV - or stress is used for body battery calculations.

It does seem a bit odd, but I'm sure Garmin have their reasons?

Or am I misreading your message - does it break it even after fully completing the activity? I'll report back when I next try it too. I did have an issue a few times where body battery stuck at 5% and refused to go up after sleep but I can't recall if this was after using the resume later function (only used it once).

  • But that's very strange. It records the quality of sleep and the phase of sleep. HRV is also necessary for that, isn't it?

Yes, please try. In the bodybattery chart, the value is simply the same even though the activity is in a recovery state later and the watch reads HRV and all functions. Battery So Body Battery needs 16 h at level 35.
