My garmin instinct solar , after 2 months of normal use , the battery went down in 1 day

Same thing happened to me. Battery went from lasting a couple weeks with heavy GPS usage, to a couple days with no GPS usage. It’s rather frustrating.

Same with me today. From 22% to 2% out of nowhere. Only 10 mins of GPS.

Disappointing, I thought this watch was stable but seems not.

I emailed Garmin, because mine should be under warranty. I’m just glad this didn’t happen during an ultramarathon.

Yeah, I mean mine was 22% which is bad enough but yours at 100% to off is no good at all.... I hope we hear back about this issue soon.

The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. Today I finally did a complete reset and erased all data. It has only been 1 day, but seems like it’s back to normal for now. It was losing >20% per day just sitting on the counter. So far it has stayed at 100% since a full charge about 12 hours ago. It’s still too early to tell, but something started draining the battery. Before doing the full reset, I had powered it off and on a few times to no avail. I will keep you posted if this truly fixed the drain or not.

Thanks for the tip to do a hard reset. I did so last night and, while I'm hesitant to be optimistic quite yet, the issue seems to be resolved.

Yes, so far it seems to have fixed the issue in my end. I hated to do it, but it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated and the battery is back to normal as of today. 

My wife Instinct solar 2 month age watches drained from 100 to 10 just less a day.

Which firmware 16.00 or 16.10 ?
