Garmin instinct solar has does not show steps on activity

Yes, I would like to have this as an option for the data fields to show during an activity.

Yes, I am also pleading. This was already addressed in the first version of Instinct. I also wrote in support of Garmin, no one answered. It's the basic thing to show in the application of walking - steps. Please display the steps in the walk application.

in activity mode press BACK and then You can see your steps, when press GPS watch will return to activity mode

It's not about that at all. The point is to see how many steps per activity. As well as how many km, calories, intense minutes, altitude meters, etc. are displayed.

How?  As you said, you still have your daily step count displayed. If your goal is 12000 steps a day and your current total is 9000, how does knowing 4000 came from a morning hike or walk help you reach that daily goal?  You already know you have 9000 steps and 3000 to go, so does it matter knowing where each and every step came from? 

Well it doesn't really matter, it's not as useful or as accessible as it could be. It's a basic feature that £20 fitness bands do...

It's also missing from the data after the activity is complete.

Will it hurt anyone if Garmin spends an hour or so adding this feature as a possible data field available?

It sounds like it's already been added as an option for the non solar instinct watch.
