Compass Setting Reversed #2

I’m going to make this topic again since Garmin Chris decided to lock a topic without looking into it himself.

As I’ve said, this is NOT an issue with my watch but that of the software on 15.40 and 16.00.

As I said previously:

“To start, I know what I’m doing and how to use the watch, so this isn’t “user error”. Kansas is roughly 1 degree difference, so Garmin will have to verify this in another part of the Country where there is a bigger difference.

I’m at a 10 degree difference from True North vs. Magnetic North. On 15.40, the setting is reversed (Compass/North Reference/True or MN)”

I’ve also verified this with another Garmin Instinct Solar at my store.

If software version 16.00 Beta software caused the issue, please email the Beta Software team directly at: [email protected]. If the issue began with the v15.40 software, they do not need to be emailed.

Regarding software version 15.40, the issue is not replicating when tested. In your initial email there was no mention of Beta software version 16.00 but the official release base software version 15.40. Please note, when any watch compass goes 90 degrees or 180 degrees off, it 'should' calibrate out. However, when it cannot be replicated and the other Instinct series owners are not experiencing the same issue, the issue is specific to the watch itself on hand with you.
