My Instinct Solar battery is trash since the most recent update. What do I do?

Normally says 13days worth of charge after an overnight full 100% charge. That now lasts 2-3 days at best since the most recent update.

  • Mine has also suffered drastically - i would get about two weeks of use, with at least one GPS activity a day. so roughly 14 days of smart watch use and 14 hours of GPS activity tracking.

Now, i'm having to charge after just over a week, with no really change of behaviour - if anything, I've used slightly less GPS this week.

I've not noticed any better HR accuracy or PulseOx efficiency, either.

    Very frustrated at this 'update'.

  • Thanks GG. Good to know I'm not the only one.

After calling Garmin I did a factory reset, turned off ox sensor, which I liked having on and the batter at full charge now says 28days. That said, the only thing I have done that's been active since is a 10mile bike ride and a golf game, neither of which were tracked on the watch. Today I am at 8 days left. It will be dead by the end of today no doubt. Terrible update.

With that. Garmin tech support was helpful and said I would be able to swap it out for another brand new one if the problem persisted, which it is. So there's that. Good luck!!
