Hi can anyone tell me what this update does to the watch please?
I have high battery consuming problem after updating to fw 15.10 and its very annoying. It uses 10 percent from morning to early night…
Same here. Today after the update my battery is draining like twice as fast. Wth??? Is there a way to revert the update?
Usually the watch loses like 3-5% battery per day for me, it's 2PM and it already…
Only thing I've just noticed, twice now the 10s (XX.1X) digit on the clock has been messed up displaying some random character easily sorted by clicking on a different screen and back but never noticed…
Supposedly accuracy and reliability of sensor readings... all I've noticed so far is shorter battery life
Someone posted a more detailed guess here:

As far as I know, a SensorHub downdate is not possible - or is it?
My guess is, they increased the sample frequency on the HR sensor to improve HRV calculation and general reliability, thereby (knowingly) sacrificing battery life."
It's in the release note on the sticky at the top of this forum.
Thanks for that
Shame they can't improve the sleep tracking aswell as fixing pulse ox bug :-(

Usually the watch loses like 3-5% battery per day for me, it's 2PM and it already lost 7%...
At this rate I'm not even gonna get 10 days of charge.
Mines only lost 2% since full charge last night although I do turn the Bluetooth connection off when I go to sleep
There was someone asking on another thread about rolling back the firmware/sensor hub - it doesn't appear possible.
Honestly, I'm quite annoyed - it's taken 9 hours to fully charge today (compared to the 5-6 is usually taken), and it's only estimating me 25 days of battery, opposed to the 32 I had been being estimated before the update.
Maybe there's something more going on with my device, but I've not changed how I charge it, and the update is the only difference I can think of...
5-6 normally?? Very slow to charge that mine takes roughly 2-3 hours at worst what charger do you use and is that with the original charging cable?
Yeah, battery drains faster and sleeptracking keeps sucking. Like am i sleeping when i lay down with my phone and using it? Moving my hands for 30 minutes is called sleep?
Yeah, it's the original cable.
There must be an issue with the socket adapter I'm using, lol. Or, maybe not an issue per se, but too low of an amperage? If that makes a difference?
i did see this the other day, though:
https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/instinct-solar/245750/time-to-fully-charge
which says, among other things, that 6 hours isn't suprising. it also recommends 5v/1A adapters, and i believe I'm using a 5v/0.9A. I don't quite get what has triggered the change, though.
I could deal with 6, tbf. but 9 hours is a joke, especially with the reduction in bat life since the update.
