Hi! I have been thinking about the reason why some people report bad battery life with their Instinct Solar, while others have a good one. The differences are easily a factor of two to three. Not wanting to go into a fanboys vs critics discussion, if both sides are reporting their very different battery lives honestly, perhaps:
Is it possible that a certain subset of watchface widgets, i.e. barometer, altimeter, pulse, sunrise/-set, steps, solar intensity, sun progression etc., stop the watch from correctly entering a low power mode?
This could also explain why Garmin, beyond the 'they really don't care' explanation, seem to are having such difficulty reproducing or even believing the problem many people have with the discrepancy between promised and real battery life.
Thanks for your input!
