Assumed Random Reboots and Defaulting to Noon Time

Yesterday and today I noticed my watch was showing an incorrect time by a number of hours. When I went to fix the time by syncing with my phone, the watch/phone would not sync. A reboot of the watch fixed the sync. It's as if the phone has defaulted to 12 PM at some point and lost connectivity after that.

I performed a factory reset of the watch to see if that fixes this now daily issue. Anyone else have this issue?  Watch is 3 months old and has been very good up till now.

  • Im now convinced this issue is related to syncing two devices to one GC account - at least for me. I have a new Instinct Solar replacement that replaced my original watch for this same issue. New watch been perfect for its initial month. Yesterday, for the first time since owning the new watch I synced my Fenix 5x to my GC account - this AM on waking, the Instinct is frozen. I had to reboot to fix.

    It's the syncing of more than one device (and switching preferred tracker) that's the problem. I'm sure of it.
