I have been trying to use my Panobike Speed and Cadence Bluetooth sensors with my Instinct Solar while road cycling.
The unit pairs with no problems, and I can input manual tire size and rename etc. During an activity such as 'Bike' the units connect without issue as well.
However no data appears under the cadence field, Just a dashed line for the entire workout. Even the finished activity has no Cadence values on Garmin Connect. As if it never read anything.
Now I did have to edit the data fields to get a Cadence field under the Bike activity but that should not affect a read out.
As far as troubleshooting I have unpaired and re-paired the unit multiple times. It is Bluetooth only so ANT+ isn't an option. I am updated to the most recent firmware/software.
I have also connected my external HRM strap (Polar H10) which connects and gives successful read outs from both ANT+ and Bluetooth.
This Panobike Speed and Cadence unit also happens to connect to my partners Forerunner 745 without issue and does show cadence values. I am wondering if this is an issue with the Instinct Solar series as a whole or if I have a faulty unit and need to exchange it.
Why would it be able to connect to a Forerunner but not a Instinct Solar? Is this something that might be able to be addressed in software updates?
