I have not. Mine has been very solid paired with iPhone.
To clarify, it worked for many hours after resetting bluetooth and then stopped working. When that happened, the bluetooth still shows it's connected and I am getting notifications but Connect app cannot sync to the device until I turned the bluetooth on and off again.
Have you tried force quitting the garmin app and reopening it?
Of course, even rebooted phone and the issue reappeared.
Download Garmin Express onto your computer (if you don’t have it already) - connect the watch and sync it / update software. Mine was new about 2 weeks ago and I had similar problems with Bluetooth until I updated the watch through Express (some updates weren’t getting through on Garmin Connect) - I’ve had no issues since.
