Yeah, I have the latest firmware, it's the first thing I did out of the box before I started charging. The USB cable is plugged into a power strip USB port, not sure if it is USB2 or 3 though.
Then try again, or another USB port.
Yeah, I already tried a different USB port on the power strip, even tried it on a 10W Apple USB adapter, didn't seem to make much of a difference.
This could be a fault with the USB port, extension cable, original cable and watch. Try to select it.
Ha so pretty much anything and everything could be faulty, lovely. Actually, I don't think it's the power strip since the MacBook Pro and iPhone charge just fine on it, I am hoping it is the cable and not the watch.
Of course, you have to try.
Sadly yes. For me the original cable was the problem since I unboxed my Garmin Instinct Solar. When I replaced it by an ebay cheap cable it charges from 0 to 100% in 2 hours. It's really incredible that a brand new cable supplied by the manufacturer is not working as expected.
Good to know, maybe I'll request a new cable from Garmin and see if it helps. Thanks
It takes about three hours or a bit longer to charge the Gamin Instict Solar from Flat with the USB lead although it is best to recharge it as soon as the low battery notification comes up asking if you wanted to switch into a Low power consumption mode asking to select Yes/No though I usually select “NO” but charge it soon after using the USB lead.
